Starting off as a community project a couple years ago, Rock for Hunger is a now a 501 c (3) nonprofit organization that inspires large groups of local supporters and volunteers to feed over two hundred individuals every week. Today, these UCF students have become leaders in their community by providing a voice for the homeless with music and peace, one person at a time. Presently, Rock for Hunger Rock for Hunger also develops tutoring programs for at-risk students and works to create job training and housing programs for the Central Florida homeless community. The results have significantly influenced many homeless individuals to overcome their hardships, giving them hope for their future.

This year, to further increase awareness for this organization, we are going beyond the music by creating a newspaper called “Talk 4 Hunger” to give homeless people a voice. We are hopeful this will raise awareness about our organization and the goals we have as well as the homeless community in Central Florida. We are having our release party for the newspaper this Wednesday, March 4th, in the Endagon Office in downtown Orlando.  We will be showcasing Rock For Hunger and promoting some upcoming events while providing food and beverages for everyone attending. The office is located across the nightclub Taboo and the Social on Orange Avenue.
